Master Fellows
Master Fellows of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ are national or international Fellows of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ who have distinguished themselves by attaining professional preeminence. Because of their personal character and leadership; extraordinary contributions to medical research, clinical practice, quality improvement, or medical education; and years of enduring and outstanding service to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, they have advanced chest medicine. This service to our organization is not limited to leaders of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½; it may include exceptional achievements in advancing our mission through consistent contributions to its educational programs and/or to the journal ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½; work on behalf of The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Foundation; advocacy on behalf of our patients and the profession; and/or elevation of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s role in the international scientific and professional community.
Masters are authorized to use the designation Master FCCP (Master of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) in connection with their professional activities, provided they continue to be a Fellow. The Master FCCP recipient shall receive a certificate bearing his or her name, waived registration to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Annual Meeting, and have their dues permanently waived.
